Each case contains one of each of the following wines:
Vermentino Toscana IGT 2017: produced near San Gimignano, this wine is made from the native Vermentino variety. Hints of sage, basil, mint, apple and pear on the nose, the smooth, rounded palate has well-balanced acidity. Ideal as an aperitif or with fish or pasta.
Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG 2017: a classic white wine from Tuscany, produced exclusively from the very best Vernaccia grapes. Fresh and fruity with hints of apple, lemon, apricot and acacia flowers, it is perfect with fried, grilled or poached fish, chicken, pasta, prosciutto, risotto, artichokes, asparagus, beans and other vegetables with herbs, mature goat’s cheese and Pecorino.
Allegra Toscana IGT Rosata 2017: a modern style of rosé, lively and delicate enough to enjoy on its own or with food, thanks to its structure. This blend of Merlot and Syrah grapes spent 5 months in stainless steel tanks with extended lees contact. With its subtle aromas of strawberry and cherry, and fresh, minerally red-fruit flavours on the palate, it goes well with caprese salad, fried vegetables, pizza or pasta.
Chianti Classico DOCG 2014: a unique blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino grapes. Aromas of lavender, rose petal, earthy mushroom, wet leaves and a touch of dried red fruit precede a soft, mature, rustic taste with well-expressed tannins and good ageing ability. This wine goes well with any type of roast meat, including game and cheeses.
Morellino di Scansano DOCG 2016: 100% Sangiovese, produced in an environmentally-friendly vineyard just south of Grosseto; a medium-bodied, elegant red wine with juicy red fruit, spice and herbal elements. It works well with vegetable soups, pasta, red meat, game and medium- to stronger-flavoured cheeses.
Mosaico Bolgheri DOC 2015: Merlot combined with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, bottled without any previous fining or filtration to preserve all its character, so it may need decanting. Deep ruby red with typical notes of cassis, blackcurrant and ripe red fruit, enhanced by cinnamon, coffee and tobacco. A perfect accompaniment to red meats, game, richly sauced pasta, risotto and medium-aged cheeses.
