The Montalcino Collection

£98.45 WAS £109.39

The three wines in this collection all come from La Togata, a small family business with vines to the south of the ancient town of Montalcino, that started making wines in 1990. Their winery is built into the rock, to help maintain an even, cool temperature. The company is run by three women, Stephania, Vanessa and Azzurra Angel, whose aim is to produce wines that demonstrate all the love and passion they pour into them.

Three stunning wines from the same grape variety to compare and contrast.

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG La Togata 2013: an intense, classically elegant Brunello that appears on the wine lists of the Vatican and the Quirinale (Italy’s Presidential palace). Match with venison, beef and rich sauces. 14.5% alcohol.

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Carillon 2013: a multi-award-winner that’s a great partner for rich foods, red meat, game and aged cheese. Powerful, full-bodied and well-structured, with elegant fruit and supple tannins. 14.5% alcohol.

Rosso di Montalcino DOC Jacopvs 2015: well-structured with soft fresh-fruit flavours, a good grip of tannin and great length. Pair with pasta, pizza, red meat and hamburgers. 14.5% alcohol.
