Chianti Classico DOCG 2015

The vineyards for this wine face from south to west and are sited at 350 metres above sea level. The soil is sandy clay and stony, providing excellent drainage and giving structure to the wines, the grapes are hand-picked.

Harvest period: from late September to mid-October

Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks for 10-15 days; malolactic fermentation follows. 

Maceration: 10 days

Maturation: Slavonian oak casks and French oak for 5 months.

Alcohol content: 13,5% abv

ORGANOLEPTIC PROFILE:

Appearance: intense ruby red.

Nose: complex nose of lavender, rose, petal, earthy mushroom, wet leaves and a dried red fruit touch.

Palate: well expressed tannins, soft, mature and rustic, good ability to age.

Food pairing: any type of roast meat, including game and stews, good with cheeses.

Serving temperature: 16 - 18 °C.
