The vineyards, 450-500 metres above sea level on the slope of an extinct volcano and surrounded by chesnut forests, enjoy a unique microclimate. The soil is high in minerals and the fortunate combination of climate and geology creates a superior wine from the traditional vineyard, which was replanted in 2005.
