Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva DOCG 2016


The grapes for Vernaccia di San Gimignano Riserva are grown in cool, north-west facing vineyards on clay-loamy soils and picked when they reach the perfect balance of sugar and acidity to give a wine for drinking now or keeping 2-3 years.

Vinification: after a short maceration on the skins, the must is fermented at a controlled temperature in tonneaux of 700 litres, where it then matures for over 18 months.

Appearance: golden yellow.

Nose: evident notes of citrus, peach and apple with a touch of vanilla.

Palate: very rich, fresh, balanced and persistent.

Food pairings: fried and grilled fish and seafood, pasta, vegetarian dishes, cured meat, medium aged cheeses.

Serving temperature: 12 °C.
